As year 2009 gradually draws its curtain, the Best of Nollywood Magazine is out to reward actors and actresses that kept the flag up during the year and the corporate world seems to be in full support of the awards as more and more corporate organizations are endorsing the event.

The awards named after the magazine has big names like Qatar Airlines, Skye Bank and Hitv as some of its sponsors. Qatar airlines will be rewarding any of Izu Ojukwu(Cindy’s Note), Muyiwa Ademola (Owo Okuta) and Daniel Ademokan (Omo Iya nkan) who eventually emerges as the Director of the year with a business class ticket to any of their 84 destinations.

The Marketing Director of Qatar Airlines, John Akpan says, “Our belief in the Nigerian movie industry is absolute as the industry is capable of going a long way in rebranding the country and sustaining the country if well managed. That is why we are supporting the Best of Nollywood initiative of rewarding artistes who have made us happy each year. The best director will also be given a plaque. Skye Bank will be endorsing the picture of the year category.

The Corporate Affairs Manager of Skye Bank, Mr Kayode Akinyemi described Nolllywood as the new export of Nigeria. The Ogun state government will be endorsing the movie of the year category. Hitv will be the media partner for the annual event.

Hey steadman, I have just read the information regarding Nollywood awards and I just want to say that the best of Nollywood awards which is fast gaining momentum amongst Nollywood practitioners and lovers of the entertainment industry has now earned another feat.
